Welcome to a new semester

It's a new semester and this blog is back up and running. As you can see the last post was December of '04...and a few things have happened in the interactive media world since then. TiVO is now delivering content on-demand to set-top boxes, cities continue to explore the delivery of broadband wireless internet service as just another utility, podcasting is changing the way we listen to the radio, DRM (Digital Rights Management) is making life slightly more challenging for the P2P community, and web-based media are reporting on the devastation of Katrina while newspaper presses and radio/TV stations stand idle. As Epic 2014 suggests, it's a brave new world...
